Office Hours
Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Our office is closed on Sundays and holidays. No departures or returns can be scheduled on these days.

Vehicle Pick Up and Return

Vehicle pick up time is normally between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm unless other arrangements are made. We will make every effort to accommodate flights or other special needs. We offer free pick up and return to the Bangor International Airport.

Vehicle drop off time is between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Returns after 11:00 am will be subject to a late return fee of $25 per hour. The renter agrees that the unit will be returned in the same clean condition as it was received (excluding normal wear). A fee of up to $100 will be charged if the interior of the vehicle has not been cleaned. Damages or loss of equipment will be paid for by the renter. Holding tank must be empty prior to return of the vehicle or be subject to an additional dump charge of $50.

Rental Day

The rental period is based on number of nights the vehicle is used. Each night constitutes a rental day.

Late Pick Ups, Early Returns and Unused Miles

No refunds will be issued for late pickups, early returns or unused miles (kilometers) except for prepaid estimated mileage charges.

Vehicle Reservation Down Payment

Upon confirmation of reservation, a $500 down payment will be charged to the renter’s credit card. This amount is applied towards the rental fee.

Cancellations

If reservation is cancelled up to 30 days prior to pick up day, a $50 handling fee will be retained and $450 will be issued. If the reservation is cancelled 29 days or less, no refund will be issued. Cancelled reservations may be used towards another reservation within one year of the date of the original reservation.

Payment

Total estimated rental charges are paid prior to departure by credit card. We do not accept personal checks, cash and ATM cards. Please note: Your credit card may have a daily limit. Please check with your credit issuing authority in advance to ensure coverage of all charges at departure.

Security Deposit

In addition, a minimum security deposit of $500 is due. Upon return, all extra charges, if any, are balanced against this security deposit and a credit or check issued to cover the refund. Refund of security deposit will be processed 7-10 days after return of the vehicle less any damage charges.

Driver Requirements

Drivers must be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license with I.D. A major credit card and references, employment, or a foreign passport are required as identification prior to rental and will be verified. All drivers must be listed on and sign the Rental Agreement and will be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement at vehicle pickup.

Familiarization Tour

A familiarization tour (approximately 30 - 60 minutes) to acquaint the renter and drivers with the operation of the vehicle before departure is required for insurance purposes.

Parking/Traffic Violations

Renter are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking/traffic violations at rental termination. Non-reporting of parking/traffic violations breaches the Rental Contract and may result in an administrative charge of up to $100 in addition to the fines.

Fuel Information

No warranties are made concerning fuel mileage and fuel tank capacity. We assume no liability for fuel consumption rates. All gasoline and all propane refueling during the trip are at the customer’s expense. The vehicle comes will a full tank of fuel and can be returned with a full tank or billed additionally at the average current rate per gallon to fill the tank.

Housekeeping Kits (full list on request)

Our Motor Coaches come with complimentary use of:

• Blankets, bed linens, towels ( 7 day rental or more only)

• Cookware, dishes and utensils

• Portable gas grill, 4 fold-out lawn chairs

All items must be returned clean at end of trip.

Pets

Dog friendly. $50 pet cleaning charge required. Renter responsible for 100% any  damage caused by pets.

Exterior Storage

Storing items on vehicle roof or exteriors is not permitted. Walking on vehicle roof is prohibited.

Vehicle Returned Damaged

Renter agrees to pay $250.00 for the cost of vehicle transportation to and from the repair facility. This is in addition to the $500 insurance deductible.

Maintenance and Breakdown Responsibility, and Availability

The renter is responsible for checking engine oil, fluids, and coolant levels at each refueling, as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at rental. Renters may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event the vehicle is in breakdown repair for 12 hours or more, through no fault of the renter, our responsibility to renter is limited to refund of daily rate or portion thereof. Radio, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave and appliances, cruise control, and generator malfunctions are not considered breakdowns and no refunds are available for repair time to these items. If the vehicle requested is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control such as late returns, mechanical or major damage, we will offer the renter a replacement if available or full refund of deposit.

Insurance Program Options

1. Renter provides Insurance binder or endorsement that extends coverage to the Motor Home and Maine RV Motor Coach Rental to the renter Personal Auto Policy. The Binder must name Maine RV Motor Coach Rental as additional insured and loss payee. Each driver must provide this proof. We will provide you or your insurance agent with the information of the vehicle to add to your policy.

2. The renter pays a premium to MBA in order to be added to the dealer rental policy. Renter will go online to MBA /Choice website  www.MBAchoice.com (password provided) and complete the required fields. The cost is $15 per day for motor homes less than 30 feet or $20 per day for motor homes over 30 feet in length. We recommend this as the best choice. An at fault accident could cause your personal auto policy to be cancelled or loss of your safe driver discounts. Renter will be responsible for the $500 deductible. 

Coverage For Rental Customer: $350,000 CSL Liability for State of Maine Statutory for Renter.

$500 Deductible - Comprehensive and $500 Deductible - Collision Uninsured / Underinsured Motorists. $2,000 Medical payments for passengers.

Additional supplemental liability Insurance increase to $1,000,000 CSL can also be purchased  on line at www.RVsli.com (password provided) for $9.95 per day.

Travel Trailer Rentals

The renter provides proof of insurance from their insurance agent that their policy extends liability coverage to the towed Travel Trailer. Most personal auto policies have this coverage. Commercial auto policies only cover vehicles scheduled on the policy. The Travel Trailer must to be added to the commercial policy for the rental period. Maine RV Motor Coach Rental will provide the coverage for physical damage. Renter will be responsible for the $500 deductible for a physical damage.
